Jane-Scott is a Principal Consultant with Leadership Capital Group recruiting Board members, CEOs, and senior executives for her clients in the Advanced Technology, Private Equity / Venture Capital, and Professional Services industries. Previously, Jane-Scott established the Virginia office of Christian & Timbers (now CTPartners) and as Managing Director recruited CEOs and other CXOs to many venture-backed companies. As a Principal with Korn/Ferry, she recruited CEOs and senior executives across a wide range of industries. She has held managerial positions with Bechtel Corporation and Martin Marietta Corporation (now Lockheed Martin) and then with Morgan Stanley & Company and Fiduciary Trust International.
With 20 years of experience, she established her own consultancy, J-S Cantus & Associates to provide strategic marketing and business development to corporations, professional services firms and not-for-profits of all sizes. In 2004, Jane-Scott was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to the Board of the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority and is presently serving her second term. She serves on the Board of The George Town Club, the Executive Committee of the Washington Antiques Show and as Class President of the Capital Speakers Club. She served for ten years on the Alumni Board of Directors for the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and as the school’s Washington, DC Chapter President.
Jane-Scott is and has been active in numerous community organizations including The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, English Speaking Union National Capital Chapter, Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Junior League of Washington, the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA), MindShare Board, National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
Jane-Scott holds a BA in history from Duke University, an MBA from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, and a JD from George Washington University. She is admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
