Kevin Blackwood was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Leadership Capital Group after having consulted to LCG, Weston Capital, Viking Capital, Warisan Capital, Independent Financial Consulting, American Planning Group and other clients in the private equity, hedge fund, and technology industry. With experience spanning technology infrastructure and business applications, Kevin's accomplishments have included record time to successful and full implementation of the retained executive search industry's leading enterprise application, Encore. Leadership Capital Group's deployment of Encore as a global information technology platform that has been thoroughly tested in Europe, Asia and North America has allowed Kevin to help make LCG a clear best in class business technology leader even compared to firms many times the size of ours.
Visionary and results-driven, Kevin has nearly 10 years of technology application and infrastructure development and support experience, having begun his career as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Partner. While working in the various industries, Kevin has helped executive search firms and financial services/private equity/ hedge funds in guiding these companies' computing needs. He is proficient at working with technical, business and operations management teams and is highly skilled in both problem solving and support as well as proactive decision-making for both infrastructure and applications to improve systems performance, reliability and high availability rapid access to sophisticated business support systems.
With expertise in configuring enterprise infrastructure, sophisticated security and business applications from companies such as Symantec, Microsoft, Lotus IBM, Network Appliance and many others, along with his networking, e-mail operability, and Internet/Intranet skill sets, Kevin has proven his ability to grow with our business. Kevin began his own private practice, BlueFactor, LLC, a technology consulting firm that has supported a variety of financial, engineering and other primarily service-oriented firms in building and designing networks, creating disaster recovery plans, restoring or upgrading infrastructure of organizations plagued by poor connectivity, lack of standards, broken processes and weak IT leadership.
Kevin earned his B.S. in Business Management and Information Systems from Fairfield University.
