Robert Kamerschen
Kam has been a consultant and private investor since 2002. He was Chairman & CEO of NYSE-listed Advo (acquired by Valassis) , a direct mail micro targeting service company, which he led from 1988 until his retirement in 1999. He was the Chairman of Survey Sampling Inc., a private company which provides Internet and telephone survey sampling to marketing research companies, from June 2005 until April 2009. He previously was CEO at DIMAC, having earlier served as President & COO at Marketing Corporation of America and CEO at Max Factor and at RKO/Six Flags Entertainment, where he managed Wesray Capital‘s equity interest in the amusement park and motion picture businesses. He also served in senior level marketing, sales and general management positions at Norton Simon, Revlon, Chanel, Dunkin Donuts and Scott Paper Company.
Kam is a Presiding Director of MDC Partners and R H Donnelley Corp. and serves or has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of several private and public companies including CC-3; Engauge; IMS Health; Invoke Solutions; Linens 'n Things; Maxxcom; MDC Partners Inc. (Formerly MDC Corp. Inc.); Playboy Enterprises; Radio Shack; Synavant; Tom’s of Maine; TravelClick; Transcontinental Direct U.S.A. Inc.; and Vertrue (formerly Memberworks).
Kam is a Regent for the University of Hartford and Trustee of Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum. He received a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Miami University (Ohio).
